Printing on Black T-Shirts is easy with an AnaJet Printer!

One Printer for White and Black Garments

With an AnaJet Sprint you do not need to have a one printer for light on dark prints and another for dark on light prints. With an AnaJet Sprint you can run light garments and dark garments concurrently with no change in you printer set up. The amazing AnaJet Sprint will print those difficult light on dark images producing sharp pristine prints that are extremely hard wearing and light to the touch.

All you need to do is simply install 4 CMYK ink cartridges and 4 white ink cartridges and away you go! The rest is automatic.

White Ink and Direct to Garment Printers

Today all direct to garment printers' white inks are based on Titanium Dioxide (TO2) which is a heavy mineral often found in white paint. TO2 tends to settle and often clog the ink delivery system and can require a fair amount of maintenance in certain printers. Fortunately with the AnaJet Sprint this maintenance is an easy and simple process that can be carried out within a few minutes.

TO2-based White Inks have three requirements for good ink flow:

1. Ink needs to be agitated regularly by frequent use, head cleaning or shaking of ink cartridges.
2. White ink must not be exposed to air; otherwise ink will gum up and clog the ink delivery system. Unlike Ink Bottle printers, AnaJet's Closed-Loop Ink Delivery System seals the white ink which means you do not need to be concerned on this point.
3. The printer maintenance station needs regular cleaning with Cleaning Applicators (provided) to remove ink residues.

A Primer on Black Garment Printing

All black garment printing in general involves a two step process, regardless of the printing method or printer used.

Step one: is the pretreatment of garments to make them white ink receptive. With AnaJet Sprint this involves simply spraying a non-toxic pretreatment liquid on the printing area. This is easy to do and only takes a few seconds.

Step two: load your garment into the AnaJet Sprint and press print. The printer will now do 2 passes. The first lays down the white ink base and the second pass lays the colours on top. This process is the same with all dark garment printers and printing methods. The advantage of the AnaJet Sprint is that it does it automatically in one go.

The Efficiency of AnaJet Printers

With a common Direct to Garment printer, you must choose between a white T Shirt only or a black-and-white T-Shirt machine. The black-and-white shirt machine of course slows down the production rates for all white shirts to that of the slower black shirts. No such problem exists with AnaJet printers. With AnaJet, you can easily switch back and forth between white T-Shirt and black T Shirt printing modes, without the loss of maximum efficiency. It is an added advantage of AnaJet engineering.
